Ted Werthmuller is excited to be with his close friends the Bithos family at the Angus Restaurant. Ted has been a friend and customer for close to 20 years and has now joined the team as their Director of Operations. Ted began his career in foodservice over 40 years ago in New York City. His family owned and operated the renowned Pantheon Restaurant in Manhattan's theatre district. Ted has owned and operated restaurants serving several different styles of food although Greek food is his passion. "I have worked in all aspects of the food industry, as a restaurateur, manufacturer and sales person. There is no better feeling than being back in the restaurant side of the business and seeing your customers leave your table having had a great experience. That is what this industry is all about". Chef Martelle Lorenz returns to Pensacola from North Atlanta with extensive culinary prowess. He specializes in intercontinental cuisine reflecting his passion for unique flavor combinations that surprise and stimulate the senses. “Food should be a complete sensory experience from the tingling of spice to the echo of a crunch to the lingering of an aroma; all of these aspects of a meal contribute to the adventure of dining itself. A great chef will take a diner through their meal as a composer through a symphony; the appetizer should grab the attention of the audience with enough impact to hold it through to the entrée where the combination of flavors and textures creates a building crescendo which is only complete with the addition of the perfect dessert. Melissa was born and raised in Baltimore and began slinging drinks in the busy Manhattan club scene. Since then she has worked her way down the east coast by way of Washington, DC and then over to Naples, FL before settling in Pensacola. Despite her considerable experience behind the bar, she adamantly rejects the title of “mixologist”, instead answering to “bartender”, “excuse-me”, “hey you”, “ma’am”, or “Miss Jackson” if you’re nasty.

Laci was born and raised in Florida and graduated from University of Central Florida with a degree in Hospitality Management. In the eight years living away from family in Gulf Breeze, she was anxious to move home to be with her younger sister and parents. Timing has always been on Laci’s side when it comes to being in the right place at the right time. Less than two months after moving back to Gulf Breeze, she was fortunate enough to have met with Naomi at a time when a position was available at the Angus and is now embarking on a career with them. Laci’s looking forward to rising on the social scene as she becomes Pensacola’s Premier Events Coordinator.
